Give Local this Holiday: iSPI Holiday Shop
This giving season, we're celebrating the small businesses who have established their headquarters at Innovate Springfield, in the heart of our community, and who proudly call Springfield their home. Welcome to the iSPI Holiday Shop, a curated selection of Innovate Springfield member-owned products and services. Please tell your friends near and far, because when you purchase from a local business, you're supporting the local economy in a meaningful way. You also get to share in the pride of knowing that your purchase dollars will be recirculated right here in our community.
To help demonstrate just how important small businesses are to our lives and to our economy, take a quick look at these small business impact statistics.
Check it out:
68% of every dollar spent at a small business is recirculated in the local economy, as compared to only 43% of dollars spent at non-local businesses. (Grasshopper.com)
Small businesses donate 250% more than larger businesses to local non-profits and community causes. (Score.org)
Small businesses employ 58.9 million people, which makes up 47.5% of the country’s total employee workforce. (Fundera.com)
