What is Preview Day?

We offer regular core programming to address the fundamentals of your business facilitated by an all-star team of industry experts.    

We're offering each session in a repeating series throughout the year, with each course schedule alternating between lunch and learn events held from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM and evening events held from 5:15 - 6:30 PM. Workshops are free to iSPI members and $35/workshop for non-members.    

Business Plan Development

In this session participants will crack the business-plan-development code; determine the business plan format that's right for their venture, learn the key components to include in their business plan, and receive the tools and resources needed to develop their plan.

Feasibility, Viability, & Feedback Loops

Participants will learn concrete ways to determine whether or not their business idea provides a desirable solution for consumers, a feasible solution that can be undertaken, and a profitable solution with a sustainable business model.

Fundamentals of Finance and Legal

In this interactive and individualized session participants will learn the fundamentals of finance and legal issues as they relate to starting and running business. Participants will walk away from this session knowing 1) the three most common financial statements and how to interpret them, 2) the typical legal and financial pitfalls facing business owners, and 3) the tools and resources needed to avoid these drawbacks and plan for a sustainable future.

Market Position and Branding

Participants will learn how to identify their distinct advantage within the market and how to build a brand around that advantage.

How to Pitch

Whether it's for attracting customers or clients, fundraising or just doing a better job of talking about their business, participants will learn 1) what to include in their pitch deck, 2) what NOT to include in their pitch deck, 3) how to present their content in a clear and compelling way...in a nutshell, the art of pitching for what they want.
